This is a neckbeard. A chinstrap connects with the sideburns to create the full chinstrap, like a football helmet’s chinstrap would. It outlines the jawline and does not taper down the neck. The above pictured epic beard clearly appears only on the neck. Just thought I should clarify, mostly because I had a chinstrap in college and it did NOT look like that. Just sayin.
